Recensione: Codice 46

Devo dire che lo stupore è stato il primo sentimento verso il film di Michael Winterbottom (Cose di questo mondo), fantascienza? O comunque prossimo futuro, fantapolitica, società possibili o quant'altro? Non vedevo Winterbottom nei panni di un autore adatto. L'inizio di Code 46 mi ha clamorosamente smentito, ho avuto la sensazione di trovarmi di fronte ad un nuovo Gattaca. Una società futuribile molto ben costruita, pensata nei dettagli (anche i più piccoli, quelli che fanno la differenza), una trama accattivante che toccasse non solo storie dei protagonisti, ma che si muovesse all'interno dello studio di una società possibile, denunciandone pregi e difetti, e, non ultimo, un interprete come Tim Robbins, una sorta di garanzia.

Peccato che poi il film abbia disatteso praticamente tutto tranne le indubbie qualità di Robbins.

La trama piena di buchi narrativi, le forzature incomprensibili nel comportamento dei personaggi e la sensazione di un'enorme confusione anche nella testa del regista. Forse una seconda visione potrebbe essere maggiormente chiarificatrice, ma nel complesso è come se si brancolasse costantemente nel dubbio, proprio come i personaggi.

William (Tim Robbins / S.Y.N.A.P.S.E.) è un ispettore delle assicurazioni Sphinx, una sorta di grande fratello del futuro, che ha il compito di scoprire un falsario nel loro stabilimento di produzione di certificati.

La società odierna non può permettersi l'onere di avere all'interno persone che non abbiano un'adeguata copertura sulla vita ed, allo stesso tempo, la Sphinx non può permettersi di pagare indennizzi di ogni tipo, quindi chiunque vive all'interno della società deve avere un certificato di assicurazione e chiunque voglia fare qualunque cosa che esuli dalla normale routine deve avere un'adeguata autorizzazione dalla Sphinx, altrimenti: nisba, nada, nix...

In questo contesto di "prigionieri del proprio benessere", falsificare un certificato consente di essere liberi e Maria (Samantha Morton / Minority Report) è una delle persone che a suo modo lotta contro questo sistema.

Il motivo per cui William fa l'ispettore sono le sue capacità empatiche che gli consentono di smascherare i colpevoli in pochi istanti, esattamente quelli che impiega per innamorarsi perdutamente di Maria e quindi coprirla ed imbastire una storia con lei.

Ma in un mondo dove tutti sono sotto controllo e dove lo slogan della Sphinx è: "noi sappiamo tutto di tutti" non c'è scampo per chi vuole uscire dagli schemi.

Alla fine vaghiamo per il film nella stessa desolazione che accompagna la fuga dei protagonisti sperando che anche per noi ci sia la possibilità di un nuovo inizio.

Star Trek (also referred to as Star Trek XI) is an upcoming science fiction film, the eleventh entry in the Star Trek film series, based on the franchise created by Gene Roddenberry. In April 2006, after several years of rumor and speculation, Paramount Pictures announced that the film would be produced by Lost co-creators J. J. Abrams (who is directing) and Damon Lindelof. It was written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, who are also executive producers with Bryan Burk, Jeffrey Chernov and Level 1 Entertainment executives Bill Todman, Jr., Edward Milstein, and Paul Schwake. The film will simply be called Star Trek[1] and will be released on December 25, 2008.

Tandis que Rita, la mère courage, tient la maison, Marie, la frangine belle comme le jour, essaie de s'en sortir; le père picole; le petit dernier sèche l'école et les 2 inséparables, Néné et Jésus, collectionnent petites combines et gros ennuis.
