The movie is named for Bobby Kennedy, but the stories contained really have little to do with him, except that all of these stories take place in the hotel where he was shot, on the day of his shooting. There are (apparently) twenty-two characters all of whom share similar amounts of time for their own little storylines, which has nothing to do with Bobby Kennedy and everything to do with working in a luxury hotel. There is an affair, an aging alcoholic entertainer, overworked kitchen staff, a search for shoes, a marriage of convenience, etc., etc.. The dialogue is good and the stories are interesting enough to entertain, but if there is a point, I guess it is reserved for people smarter than me. In the end, this is more of an acting exercise for a large group of well-known Hollywood royalty, than it is a cohesive story in the traditional sense. The performances are good and the stories are tied together by the flimsiest of connections. The ending pays tribute to the title character, but he has nothing to do with the movie.
