Sick Nurses [DVDRip.XviD] (2007) - [Suay Laak Sai]

After killing one of their own, a group of organ-stealing nurses pay the consequences. This is quite possibly the most entertaining Thai horror film ever made. The characters are hyperbolized to the point where they are intrinsically interesting to watch (not to mention the fact that all of them are gorgeous Thai girls in scantily clad nurse uniforms) and they also add an element of black humor. Even the ghost herself shatters genre clichés with her obvious sadism and enjoyment in reaping vengeance. The main attractions, however, are the spectacular death scenes that arrive during the latter half. These are highly imaginative with impressive quantities of blood, but are not very disturbing because they're so much fun to watch. The nurse named Nook is one tough bitch who won't go down without a fight, and the one-on-one duel to the death between her and the ghost is an instant classic.

In its depiction of one family, Yi Yi accurately and expertly captures the themes and details, as well as the beauty, of everyday life. Following its debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000, Yi Yi has collected a host of awards from prestigious international film festivals. Yi Yi garnered its director, Edward Yang the Best Director at Cannes Award in 2000 and was nominated for the Palme d'Or in the same year.

Synopsis: Focusing on a typical family--parents, two children, and an elderly grandmother--living in a small apartment in Taipei, YI YI (A ONE AND A TWO) is about the patterns of daily life. It includes a wedding, a funeral, a first date, a last date, a birth, and a death. The film follows each member of the Jian family carefully, giving each one equal time, completely developing each character. NJ (Wu Nienjen), the father of the family, struggles with a dead-end job at a technology firm while reexamining his marriage when he meets his high school sweetheart, Sherry (Ke Suyun), after 30 years. NJ's teenage daughter, Ting-Ting (Kelly Lee), has a selfless demeanor and a naive interest in everything, which diffuses the complexity of her high school life. Her little brother, Yang-Yang (Jonathan Chang), is an adorable five-year-old troublemaker who's in love with a pesky girl in his class. And Yang-Yang's mother, Min-Min (Elaine Jin), grieves for her dying mother (Tang Runyun) while coping with her own middle age in a rapidly maturing family. Edward Yang, director of 1991's A BRIGHTER SUMMER DAY, presents a careful, direct, meticulously photographed film with YI YI. Brassy shots of Taipei reflected in the windows of a moving car are offset with slow choreographed sequences using the streetlights to narrate little moral tales. Perhaps the most powerful gem in this film is the magical character of Mr. Ota (Issey Ogata), NJ's Japanese business associate, whose optimistic life perspective will inspire and delight YI YI's viewers.

Hong Kong, 1962. M. et Mme Chow emmenagent dans leur nouvel appartement le meme jour que leurs voisins, M. et Mme Chan. Sans comprendre comment cela a commence, Chow Mo-wan et Chan Li-zhen apprennent que leurs epoux respectifs ont une liaison. Cette decouverte les choque mais les rapproche. Abe's possessiveness and obsessive behavior with Ishida grows to the point that she threatens to kill him if he so much as looks at another woman (including his own wife). Their mutual obsession escalates to the point where he finds he is most excited by being strangled during lovemaking, and he soon gives her permission to kill him in this fashion. She then severs his genitals and writes, "Sada and Kichi, now one," in blood on his chest.
